Hi Jan,
Good question! I forwarded the suggestion to my co-workers but they haven't tried it yet. Glynn did you actually do this? Has anyone tried this? We are also trying to install an "upgraded" version of Ariel software on a new PC. 1. We currently run v3.4 on a w2000 PC. We want to install an "upgrade" version of 4.1.1 on a NEW W7 PC. (The only "full version" of Ariel we ever purchased was v2.0 over nine years ago.) Several weeks ago Infotrieve told my co-worker to first install the online Ariel trial version and then install our purchased "upgrade" of 41.1 - but she told me that the trial version wouldn't work. She now thinks that maybe a scanner needs to be attached before the Ariel trial version will run? Also, I suggested installing v3.3 (the last "upgrade" we purchased), then installing v3.4, and then installing 4.1.1 on the new PC. ______________________________________________ ARIE-L mailing list Mail the list at ARIE-L@u.washington.edu Unsubscribe at http://www.arie-l.org#subscribers Archive at http://www.mail-archive.com/arie-l@u.washington.edu/ Scanner recommendations at http://shareill.org/index.php?titleAriel_Scanners _______________________________________________ ARIE-L mailing list Mail the list at ARIE-L@u.washington.edu Unsubscribe at http://www.arie-l.org#subscribers Archive at http://www.mail-archive.com/arie-l@u.washington.edu/ Scanner recommendations at http://shareill.org/index.php?title=Ariel_Scanners CONFIDENTIALITY: Any information contained in this e-mail (including attachments) is the property of The State of Texas and unauthorized disclosure or use is prohibited.
