For the record, lest someone be confused, the "OP" of this thread is myself, and I did not post any images or forward any Spam. The original image poster was himself responding to a thread titled "Spam replies to PPML posts?" by someone who was asking if anyone else received Spam after posting

Owen, I agree. I also wouldn't support a ban. More importantly, this is all easily resolved with a *PLONK*. However, the OP made a serious error in judgement. The transmission of that image to the entire group was completely uncalled for. Any "reasonable person" knows better. Luckily Im using GMAI

Alberta, I mostly agree but the original problem was, as Marilson correctly identified, that someone who is subscribed to the list has a bot residing on their computer that harvests any email addresses that the user sees, and sends mildly offensive spam to them. They are NOT, however, doing it

I am against banning attachments, as they can often be useful during discussions. While google drive and other services can be used by many, some of us here on this list including myself are barred by network policies of using or connecting to such services, as they can be used to leak confide
