Tested OK your kernel image+initrd on my sheevaplug. I made the driver into a module, so the kernel boots on my openrd too; but modprobing it causes ill messages to appear in syslog, although the box doesn't kernel panic; so it's an improvement! -- Stuart Winter Slackware ARM:
