I can recall very faintly, it is perhaps VS, like Pritam, who are of the same opinion that JTYJN is the music of the year.
It's really nice of these guys to appreciate others. But what is the following men's attitude towards ARR? Ismail Durbar: This guy actually sobbed and had tears rolling down his cheeks when an ARR musical was being screened. Now was that "khushee ke aansoo" or was that "neighbour's envy"? Himesh Reshammiya: Dude, you did admit at Coffee with Karan what a big admirer of ARR you are! But whatever happened to your "I'm the best attitude"? Wanting to keep a low profile after all that controversial bragging? Sukhwinder Singh: I remember him doing some silly Bhangra and low- budget private albums before he bagged an opportunity for Dil Se. He was overtly unsophisticated and his voice didn't sound all that great then. And he did some unimpressive anchoring too on DD channels for music countdowns at that time. He might never want to look back to those days :) because if he did, he'd be embarrassed :) In terms of his admiration for ARR, it's been on and off. But the sense of gratitude seems to have drained down somewhere specially after he made his score for Chak De. Jatin-Lalit: These brothers have been having a fight, they've even split. Why would you want them to take time out appreciating the rest? Aadesh Shrivastav: He's always delivered lightweight music. And failed to engrave a big mark of his own. No wonder why he wouldn't want to appreciate somebody else's work. And last but not the least...guys, you ought not forget him...it is Anu Malik...now spelt Aanu Malik...one guy who garnered so much fan- following. I remember enjoying his concert at the Centaur in Mumbai in 1994 Xmas season. At the same time the television sets were hit by ARR's Muqabla Muqabla song. And I was so bowled over by ARR. I had wanted to dance to this song again and again and again (and I still do). ARR had arrived and Anu Malik couldn't help but say, "I don't understand this guy's music." :) Well, well, well, everybody has his veritable time come into play. But an ARR is a perennial phenomenon.
