*Bombay Dreams' keeps audience spellbound* **
Staff Reporter LAHORE: A group of students from local universities staged a drama titled 'Bombay Dreams' at Alhamra Arts Council here on Monday. The play presented a fantasy of aspiration where man had dreams to become a superstar and with his firm commitment and passion achieves his aim. The fascinating music and mature performance by students kept the audience spellbound for two hours. The stage depicted Bombay's real life where people get chances to materialise their ambitions. This is the story of a young man Akaash who is a guide and wants to become a superstar. He comes across a girl Priya Chopra and impresses her with his acting abilities. She gives him a visiting card of her father who is a renowned film director and asks him to see her father. Akaash goes to see Priya's father who selects him after his audition and offers him the role of a hero in his next movie. The villain of the movie 'Vikram" who is the business partner of the director, threats the director to cut Akaash's role who refuses and Vikram hires professional killers to kill Priya's father. The killers murder Priya's father and Vikram grabs whole the business and ousts Akaash from the movie. Akaash who has fallen in love with Priya wants to marry her but Vikram loves Priya as well and kills Akaash. Priya can not bear it and commits suicide.
