Andhi Malai was not by ARR...

Here is an earlier clarification mail from the group archives:

as mentioned b4 Andhi maalai album is not an arr composition, its by Ousepachan. and ousepachan reused one malayalam song's ( etho varmughilin )tunes for Andhi maalai koil vandhein song

I think, the Vaishnavar, even though not released, had true tracks by Rahman.
 
The movie had its tracks from ARR's tamil album called " Andhimaalai", for which Vairamuthu had penned the lyrics. The music tracks of that album was used with Malayalam lyrics for that unreleased movie.
 
The songs were real good, and had a feel of a nascent A R Rahman, trying to break the rules of music which were in existence !
 
Yodha was such an awsome experience and I wish ARR did more in Malayalam. Keralites can never forget the tracks which his late father, Shri. RK Sekhar had composed for various Malayalam movies !

I own the audio cassette of this movie which claims music by Rahman. The cover had pictures of MohanLal, Revathi and Rahman (with his Keyboard).
But I think it was a fake.............. The movie never released.................

Subject: [arr] Fake ARR soundtracks over the years

Here is a list i know of:

Oonjal - the rumour first started off as a new project then later
rumoured to be as a dubbed version of ARR's Doli saja ke rakna , a
hindi film released in 1998. But co -incidentally a dubbed version did
happen as Jodi which has nothing to do with this Oonjal which is
confirmed to be a fake

Beauty Palace - Supposedly unreleased Telegu movie which was
circulating in the stores around mid 96. Not much known except is
could be most likely a fake.

Thullal - Supposedly to be done by ARR , A pravinth Kanth movie
director of Ratchagan and Jodi. But ended up as done by Different MD

Hindi ver of Gentleman - Widely reported as fdone by ARR but in
reality done by ANu Malik

Zindagi Se Pyar Karo - Not much is known except that is most likely
to be a fake

Tak Dheen - Unknown and no records of it.

Aye Taxi - a malayalam movie from 1995 by director S.V. Rajendra
Singh Babu which has supposed BGMS by ARR. Not much is known except it
is most likely to be a fake
