After a long wait Godfather hits the stalls. All songs potential hits. my favorites songs in order from great to good are
1) Ilamai and its remix are catchy and would be on everyone's lips after one hearing...especially " thathimthomthom thomthikithkikithom..." 2) Inisai is a great carnatic song after the sangamam days...i luv the chorus version...it has a heavenly feel in it... 3) deepavali...after a longtime ARR came up with a fun song...i like the video tooo...good song 4) kaatril...amazing melody once again...his melodies are top notch, however i feel hey hey sahiba seems to be out of place...but we never know...remember theekuruvil song from kangalal kaidhi sei. it had that yedhoma aama start which i thought was out of place, but in the end that made that song very special. 6) our Boss's song..theeil vizhudha..kalakkal song...its on the lines of mera yaar milade saahiba...sometimes he sounded similar to ilayaraja...if ARR sings in any album, then that album would surely be a great hit...thats been the case always.. 5) and finally ..kamma kamma...this song wud gel well with masses...i still havnt listened to it totally as i'm completely hooked with other songs.. Godfather songs has great momentum to light up the screen...not too much experimentation in it...this is another combo which has given consistent hit songs, my best ARR combo list although would be 1) ARR - Maniratnam 2) ARR - Shankar 3) ARR - Bharatiraja 4) ARR - SJ Surya 5) ARR - Kathir 6) ARR - KS Ravikumar - Krishh Explore, Experience, Enjoy A.R.Rahman - The Man, The Music, The Magic.
