Hi folks,

I just felt like pointing this out and am not sure how many agree with
r dont!

For the last 1 week or so, the marketing for GURU is going @ a intense
pace, Its gud bcoz every nook-and-corner people shud now know abt GURU
release.

But I feel, there have been too many interviews from
mani/rahman/abhishek,making on IBN/Rediff/Times of India/Sify/Hindu
etc... They are hyping it too much and i feel its not gud as it raises
the expectations. Many films dont fare well not bcoz they r bad but
bcoz they cudn't meet the pre-release hype. They shud do some promos
and let the film and critics talk rather than beating their own
doll-drums.

We know mani is gr8 , gr8 story , extracts the best and stuff, but
people repeating it time and again.

Rahman for that matter everytime comes up with an album with Mani
always quotes "mani gets the best out of me/we share a gud rapport",
We all know this and he cud have just stopped with "talking abt songs"
bcoz its different from each album.

My worry is meeting the expectations.

If its gud commercially/technically/story-wise I will be happy and
anything like RDB is bonus, but turning out as a disaster, i think
this hype wud have significantly contributed.

Hope for the best.

1 Quick Q - did mani agree that iruvar was based on MGR/Karunanidhi r
denied saying its imaginary?

Cheers

Sundar.
