Well said Dasun! Although, I have never thought about it, you are right, Boss has affected me in my emotional and intellectual growth. I have pretty much grown up listening to Sir Rahman. I was 9 when Roja was released, as a child my brain must have recognized the "mozartness" in Rahman's music. Right after Roja I had decided that I was going to be Rahman's fan, coming from an Urdu speaking family, my buying/listening of all these Tamil songs was not supported, but I was attracted to Rahman's music like an ant attracted to sugar. My dedication to Rahman paid off a little later, when my family not only accepted non-hindi songs but now enjoy Tamil songs and wish some of his Tamil gems were made in Hindi.
p.s. Have you noticed how Roja just seems like it was released just couple months ago. It is talked about so often that it never occurs that it was done some 13 years ago.
