These same people would be 'over the moon', had they been involved
with the same project. I bet Amitabh's and Mahesh's opinion of
Indian films are probably just the rubbish made in Bollywood. That's
what Bollywood has been projecting as Indian all these years. It's
wonderful that A.R.Rahman is contending for the Oscars, in a film
that will be understandable for the entire world.

Rahman will definitely take at least 1 oscar. Rahman is an
inspiration, of humility and hardwork. No worries what others think.

you see his work in the past, he has produced such a quality product
that it shouldn't even take a minute to award this legend. His music
in `Taal', `Rang De Basanti' or even `Lagaan', which was nominated
for the Oscars, stood nowhere in eyes of the Oscars' Jury. However,
when his music has a white connection, it comes to the priority list
of the awards. Why? So is it that we Indians are incapable of making
it to Oscars? Or it is just that we would be used for other's benefit
and just left unrecognized," questions Mahesh Bhatt.

How much do we recognize them here? Some say that Slumdog shows india
in poor light by depicting its ugly side..but when many
filmmakers  can use Sex or fantasize them to sell there movies, Why
can't danny make a good entertaining movie full of optimism by
showing slums in his movie..after all, we can't say ignore that fact..

oscar, The movie was supposed to come on DVD's straight away..We need
to be extremley thankfull to danny for involving Indian technicians
in this movie especially in form of  Rahman, Tandon and also many
others..He wanted to make a good movie and he has succeded in
it..Lets congratulate him instead of pointing fingers at him..
