..forget sound, preference, etc.  I think Blue is an album that we can 
celebrate AR's attempt to do something different and appreciate his boldness to 
experiment.  There are many MDs past and present who preferred to stay in a 
"safe zone" as far as their output, never really pushing the envelope to 
advance to different stages in their career.  AR's career path has always been 
defined by curves and leaps, not all being successful, but ultimately paving 
the way for newer opportunities, ideas, and new avenues.  

For those who don't like Blue's sound, music or whatever, I can understand why. 
 I like it, but I can understand why some may not.  I hope AR's next will suit 
you better.  But for now, let's all appreciate AR's attempt at the very least.  
It takes guts to make a Blue soundtrack, when he could have very well as stayed 
in his safer zone of music creation.
