Sridevi to finance Godfather ?! January 24, 2006
Who said yesteryear siren Sridevi is out of Kodambakkam? She and
hubby are very much here, business-wise. Yes, they finance films that
are half-complete. First, they see the rushes and determine whether
they have all the elements of commercial success. They then dig into
the history of the producer and the director. If all factors read
right, well, they bring in their money to bail a producer out and
revive a good film.
One such movie that has captured their attention is Ajith's
Godfather. Sridevi is convinced by the star value of Godfather with
Ajith and Asin in the lead, with direction under K.S.Ravikumar and
music by A.R.Rahman. With Paramasivan turning out to be a hit, her
confidence has grown higher. But it seems the actress doesn't want
her name to be mentioned anywhere in the movie. Sridevi's office
could not be contacted to confirm this news.
