Hi All TGIF,
I want to set up a web report like give me all the tickets created last week
or give me all of the tickets created last month. When running the report the
query would know today is Friday March 15h and the report is to include all the
ticket created between Sunday March 3rd and
Hello
When installing AR System 8.1, you may expect to be able to carry on
using the BMC AREA LDAP plugin. It appears BMC have switched on the
AtriumSSO AREA plugin by default, and would prefer you ran this product
to achieve what the AREA LDAP plugin does without the overhead of extra
if it can be done for last week or last month.
Use this as a qualifier to find tickets logged in the last 30 days -
or $DATE$ but I always use $TIMESTAMP$ for no particular reason.
'Reported Date+' $TIMESTAMP$ - (30*24*60*60)
Yes, that would give me the last 30 days, but what I am looking for is last
month. This being March I want the incidents created in February regardless of
what day in March I run the report.

Hi John,
In 8.1 the default LDAP plugins are based on Java plugins but they are not
the AtriumSSO ones. What you are basically doing here is disabling the
newer Java plugin for AREA so that it falls back to the C plugin.
The java plugin is actually arealdapplugin81_build001.jar which is
Thanks for the responses. There are various reasons why mgmt doesn't want
to handle this in-house, although I am fairly certain that's what we'll end
up doing (along the lines of what Ken suggested). I need to present the
options, though, so thanks David for the Mailgun recommendation, and to
Oh calendar month...hmm..easy to do with the BusinessObjects ITSM
universe if you have that. I don't recall any conditionals in the
reporting/search syntax

Actually, while a bit fiddly, you could probably do it with a wildcard
match for the month number in the submit or reported date...

Yes, it makes perfect sense to move everything over to Java plugins on
the Java plugin server. But I guess if one has been staring at the
arplugin log for a decade, and has become accustomed to the C plugin, it
could be confusing to look elsewhere. I also agree that it's better to
look
And keep in mind that in January, your previous month query has to account for
the change in year as well as the change in month.
Analytics has some variables built in to the Universe for every important date
field that make this kind of calculation really easy, but to do it manually?
It's
If you have a copy of Crystal Reports Designer (or whatever the current name is
for the desktop tool) you might be able to save the query in the report and
then call the RPT file from Remedy. I know for sure it can do the current
week/month but it's been a few years (and I don't have the tool
And with BIRT (Business Intelligence Reporting Tools, a FREE open source
reporting tool from Eclipse for which BMC built plug-ins that work with ITSM),
you can modify RPT files and build variables like the ones that would be needed
for the calculations I mentioned. I don't know if you can do
Mark,
I added these fields to the form several years back and it has been
helpful in instances like yours:
The values are set from the Arrived Time when the form loads. The user
can choose 2 for the Month and 2013 for the Year to see all of the
tickets that arrived in February,

There are a LOT of self-hosted auto-responders out there. The advantage to
these (especially when sending internally) is that you're using an internal
mailbox to send, so you won't get flagged as Spam.
Also, the comment below makes sense. Our main customers have email

Hi All TGIF,
In the Incident or Change you can select Functions Email System and send an

could not find in the ITSM Admin Guide or the Notification Guide where this
could be changed, assuming it can. If there is a

Hi All TGIF,
You could customize the workflow to do a push fields directly into the AR
System Email Messages form. Then you can set the From and Reply To addresses to
anything you need. i.e. The user sending the email.

Yes, around two weeks ago.
Never understood why people want to pour a coloured dye into their beverage.
With a Guinness if you used enough to make a difference it could be
