Atul,
A little more information would help.
I’m assuming your Default Entry ID is set to REQ.
So searching for Record # REQ4567 by typing 4657 in the Entry ID filed
and searching is all you need to do to retrieve REQ4567.
Now if you are trying to do something else then
LPADC(RTRIM(LTRIM($Request Number$)), 15, "REQ")
The RTRIM() is there to handle the situation where a user pastes a number

Hi
I am looking for a way to do the following (in an AL):

AL: sets Request ID = REQ4567
So depending on what was typed we pad it with REQ and some 0s the length is 15.

Thanks

When I run the installer to upgrade on a test server I get the following error:

Why not use Apache Solr to do the job for you?
If you use Solr, combine it with the freely downloadable JDBC drivers from

Hi, all -
I remember at WWRUG one of our partners had a very robust search engine/tool
that could be used to go though Remedy data and, I think, data external to
Remedy. I can't remember the partner, of course; anyone know who it is?
Apologize for vagueness, but it's been a few years...
