When a new incident is created a "CustomerReceiptConfirmation" email is sent to
the end customer. I have been asked a few times now why it is not possible by
default to add additional people to this email and I don't have a good answer.

Please could anyone guide me regarding the AR System Report Console form
restriction for the number of report templates.
As we are having two environments:-
Env A - having 400 report templates and its working fine.

We are being asked to utilize the Security Manager option in Tomcat (1.7). I

issues. In the process though, it seems to have created havoc with some of

Windows 2008 r2 servers (3 app servers and 3 mid tier)

Oh, and this behavior happens regardless of the report type...could be Web
or AR System (we don't use the Crystal reports).

LOLWarren, I'm sorry...but this obviously has something to do with the
Mid-Tier trying to 'escape' a group name starting with U thinking that it's
a unicode 'code' (http://unicode-table.com/en/)...no clue why that's
happening of course, but BMC will be the only ones able to fix this

Yep... My thoughts also. I just got off the phone with BMC and they do
have 1 other customer on an 8.x mid tier experiencing a similar issue
(Company name this time is the trigger...also starts with "U".).

SNMP is better than nothing. I have seen some examples of people using
Splunk; not only to keep an eye on up/down but also for keeping an eye on
errors and proactively looking for performance problems (api response
time/trends, sql response time/trends, etc.).
