I had configured the archive process to delete the master record after it was
archived. Some years back I had created a filter on the master table (schema)
which sent an email notification when a record was deleted, this filter on the
master record caused the archive to fail - when I disabled

That is correct...but you will see AR_ARCHIVOR entries in filter log when
actual archiving process kicks in.

Actually when you allow ARSystem to create the archive form no workflow is
duplicated to the archive form. I did to ahead and try the filter log with no
results.
