From the 8.0 release onwards Atrium Integrator does need to be installed on the same box as AR. In fact the core Atrium Integrator engine is installed as part of the AR installer only. This is done to mainly to make AI part of the core AR Fabric so that it could be setup in AR server group, use

I was trying to install atriumintegrator80.server.win on a machine which doesn’t have AR Server. Installation did prompt me to provide details of an AR Server. I did that, but it gives this error. "Atrium Integrator Server install on remote AR System Server is not supported" Thread here talks abo
