Hi Pawan You can set the pattern to $MENU$ in the attributes. user/consutlant will be able to write on the filed but when they actually go on to save the entries system will given them an error and he/she has to select the entries from the drop down menu only.

Thanks & Regards, Pavan Kumar Pavan, In the Developer Suite or Admin Tool (depending on your AR System version) the display type of the character field needs to be changed from 'Edit' to 'Drop-Down List'. This will restrict the ability for users to "roll their own" entry.
