My VM environment is as follows Solaris 10 Oracle 10gR2 (Client and database) I am trying to install ARS 7.1 server. But the installer quits throwing an error in arDBErrorLog ./ar_install: /Desktop/ARS/arsystem/solaris/oraload: cannot execute

It will be an issue with any binary that attempts to link to anything on your vm; which is going to include everything from Remedy. If you want to go with a unix type OS, you are going to have to go the linux route in vmware. Qemu is the only vm I know of that allows architecture emulation, but
