All,
Thanks. This is just being used to training someone on how Remedy workflow
works. I would not want to start a newbe on ITSM, they might go screaming
into the night.
Thanks again and have a great weekend,
Howard

Yes you can do it, but you won't be able to install ITSM on it!
Besides the 2k records per form there is also this other limit: you
will only have one thread available on the server making it impossible
to operate complex applications.

I have done a full linux VM - and run that under XP -- works pretty well.
Centos
Oracle
Remedy 7
Kinetic Survey
Kinetic Request
Kinetic Calendar
Kinetic Link
Mid-tier 7
(all above with 534 MB assigned RAM to the VM) -- the host has 1 GB.
(Stop by our booth at BUW - to see it -- it is my demo box)
You can do a full install on XP Pro, and just AR Server (no mid-tier) on XP
Home. Done it many times. Unlicensed server holds up to 2k records per
form.

I know its not supported and its not Friday, however I am training a newbe
on Remedy.
Has anyone ever installed a sever on an XP box and if so how?
I think the unlicensed server will still allow up to 1k records per form,
but if it works its safer then working on my Dev box.
