In version 8.0 and above in linux TCMalloc is the default one.
During install the installer also installing TCMalloc libraries and
configuring armonitor to start arserverd with TCMalloc preloaded.
I have read several online articles only good things about TCMalloc.

Yes in case of memory consumption related failures we suggest this to BMC
customers' , in many cases this worked fine , as sometimes default Linux memory
manager glibc does not handle memory for the application process correctly,.
TCMALLOC is an efficient memory manager.
