All,

The IIS on our production midtier server was corrupted last week, so we
quickly changed the support domain to point to the backup midtier
server. After switch to backup server, our web user are able to access
miditer applications without problem.

ARS: 6.3 with patch 21,

Old production midtier : V6.3 with patch 21,

New backup midtier: V6.3 without any patches.

I have a Remedy web service which is used by oracle midware application
to submit daily customer product shipments. After I switched to the
backup midtier server, Oracle midware application constantly getting
"User is currently connected from another machine" error, they only
getting this error when Oracle tries to submit a bunch of records, after
3, 4 records went through Remedy, it would get that error. But if Oracle
midware tries to submit record one at time, it can go through without
problem. Oracle midware is using "WebService' user account to access
Remedy (fixed license). According to our oracle developer, oracle call
Remedy web service through PL SQL call.

Below are the logs from User.log. The IP address is really weird, this
is not like normal IP address:

IP CONFLICT WebService (client-type:Mid-tier,

Another weird thing is I tried to apply midtier patch 21 on the backup
server, but after installation, I didn't see patch number displayed on
the midtier config login page. I tried running installer on existing
midtier, and also tried remove and reinstall, but still don't see patch
number from config login page. I downloaded patch 21 from BMC support
side.

Can someone please shed some light on these error, and explain why patch
number is not showing?

Thanks a lot!
