I am playing around with the Alias Value setting for certain existing status history values on field ID 7.
What I have found is that the Alias Value allows you to have different menu values for different form views. One menu value can say In Progress for one view and WIP for another view, but both are the same enumerated value. I've done some queries on the two different views and whether you pick InProgress or WIP you get the same results. Does it just give a different display value and that is all or is there something else happening? I am wondering what "gotchas" anyone has run into doing this, especially on a form that has had the same status history values for many years.
