The 390600 : The file specified for a form does not hold a form definition (ARERR 400) error blocked arserverd from starting arforkd. Apparently one or more.def files distributed in patch 7 for Solaris/Sybase were corrupt. I copied over the Windows files and got past the arerr 400, and arforkd came up.
