Dear List,
Somehow I managed to fix this. Was a simple thing but it took a long for me
figure this out.
Had to point the URL to the form (Init Form) instead of the login from.

Regards
Rajesh

Dear Andreas
We are on patch 23
I have noticed that system go not allow any logins which are not in the system
and if I am using my roll id with a wrong password. I gives me aAuthentication
failed message

I had changed the pointer of midtier server to my dev box and here it work
absolutely fine.
The movement I changed it back to prod box it started giving me the same
problem.
I am able to log to the system with user tool and the old miditier server
(which is still active and on w2k and midtier 6.3 patch 23) to the production
box but do not find any issue in that.

No I am wondering where the issue lies. All combinations tried and nothing has
been successful

Hello Rajesh,
what patch you are on with Server and Mid Tier?

There was an issue solved with Server Patch 22:

SW00265125

Application changes cause loss of LDAP authentication capability.

Also one bug fixed in Mid Tier patch 15:

SW00222355

Users are locked out after an unsuccessful attempt to log in when using LDAP.
Specify the external authentication server using the
arsystem.authentication_server property in the Mid Tier config.properties file.

Andreas

Not familiar with this specific problem, but could your users be getting
authenticated as Guest users on the new machine?

Dear List
Need you help here

In the old system(midtier) which is on win2k if a user log in with employee
roll no system given a message saying this is a first you logged in.. BLAH BLAH
and the user information is created in the People form.
Now in the new midtier machine which on windows 2003 if he/she log's into the
system just accepts the login and the user info is not created.

ARSYSTEM 6.3 patch 23
Midtier 6.3 patch 23

Regards
Rajesh
