Just picked up a copy of the Coaster and inside, there are 2 articles
on underage drinking and drug use, leading to arrests, in Ocean
Township. I didn't read any articles like these in the Press, but as
soon as someone pisses on the grass, in AP, it's a news item, so yes,
Asbury Park is the repository for continual bashing, for all thing
BAD, in Monmouth County! Prople are murdered in Neptune, Freehold,
Howell and corruption in Manalapan, West Long Branch, Neptune, yada,
yada, yada, but who gets the headline, Page 1? Asbury Park!
If I could get my husband to let me drop the APP, I would, in a
heartbeat and read it online. That paper hates this town with a
purple passion! They sell papers off the backs of the misery index,
here! Blow it all out of proportion, etc. Instead of going after the
kingpins, the cops arrest these minnows on the street, get big raises
for reoccuring crime, but the real problems are at the borders and on
the docks, which if they did, they'd soon be out of a job! And the
beat, goes on!
