the case of the Baumgartner of 1904. Got a call back from Leigh U Special Collections Dept.
They located the Thesis by Charles Baumgartner from 1904. Think for a minute. A handwritten "plate" measuring 20x22", including drawings. As explained by the very helpful special collections employee. He explained that back then the students were required to go go around and come up with something useful - either they saw locally (like the Bethlehem Bridge) and apply it - either locally or from something they saw or saw a need for. And that's where Charles Baumgartner came up with lights for the asbury park board-walk in 1904. Once it arrives, I'll figure out how clear it is. They said some parts are hard to read, but if we are familiar with some of the local points and references, we should be able to decipher it. email with ? ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
