I have just decided that I will accept campaign donations.
In the Compliance Manual for Candidates it states that IF there are funds
left at the end of a campaign after settling accounts, it may be used in
several ways. One way is to cover the cost of travel when performing
officeholding duties or costs of registration and attendence at conferences
attended in connection with officeholding duties. Another acceptable
disposition of excess funds is donating them to a 501 (c) organixzation
(such as the Asbury Park Historical Society).
If there are excess funds I will dispose of them in one of these two ways.
