They just don't want to do it. They are at war with the council and city manager. They don't like each other. This is gonna turn into a big ugly legal battle at some point. Quite simply, I believe the governing body of the city and Mr. Mottola have differing views of beachfront development. Lets just say, I believe the city has a more multi-cultural progressive viewpoint......and MM is more, shall we say conservative in their marketing approach. I don't believe confrontation is the answer. I would, for once, like to simply hear Mr. Mottola's and Mayor Johnson's views of what should be transpiring regarding beachfront development. Unfortunately I believe you will not, because of the aire of political correctness now migrating through society. Friends, this is I believe a very touchy situation. The end game needs to be a new city council, new City Manager and new Commerce Director who can bring some new ideas into play. There is nothing more to say. Sadly, this is becoming a very ugly matter that runs very deeply into individuals core values. It may be conjecture on my part, but it isn't just about business. Read between the lines. Have a nice day.
