Each year, NJ sees about 20,000 mortgage foreclosures.
Of the 100 or so each month in Monmouth County, a handful
of distressed homes are located in Asbury Park.
Families' homes in neighborhoods on Prospect Avenue, 7th Avenue,
Bangs Avenue,Borden Avenue, Webb Street, etc. are under
attack.

Last year I supported the candidacy of the Green Party's Brian Unger
for Freeholder. I worked with Brian to construct a program designed
to help prevent the loss of homeownership due to mortgage or tax
foreclosure, AND to increase the inventory of affordable housing
opportunities in Monmouth County.

Who has juice in Asbury, Freehold, and Trenton that can help
implement a forward thinking, inexpensive program designed to
improve the quality of life for the citizenry of Asbury Park?
