ASBURY PARK Federal, Monmouth County and local law enforcement
officers last night and this morning raided various sites, rounding up
13 suspects involved in the distribution of illegal drugs centered in
the city.
Arrested, according to the federal Department of Justice, were
Mark "IBS'' Ruffin, 30, of Lakewood; Jerome "Pretty Boy'' Wright, 24,
of Asbury Park; Kevin "Kev'' Markham, 25, of Asbury Park; Augustus
Newman, 29, of Asbury Park; Kareem "Shorty'' Davis, 30, of Asbury Park;
Sharee Johnson, 19, of Asbury Park; Bobbi Morgan, 37, of Manalapan, who
is a city Code Enforcement employee; John Cooper, 40, of Long Branch;
Tracy Dunbar, 33, of Asbury Park; Consonya Shabazz, 42, of Asbury Park;
Khalil Salahud Din, 61, of Asbury Park; Alicia Byrd, 27, of Neptune;
and Jameelah Powell, 28, of Asbury Park.
The 13 face various charges related to the distribution of powder
cocaine, crack cocaine, or heroin.
A 14th suspect - Natasha Parker, 25, of Asbury Park - remained at large.
