Dear Group, In case your plans for Saturday night have somehow
gone awry and you're casting about for something to do, you can
always come to the Stephen Crane House at 7 PM. We will be screening
the 1947 English Technicolor masterpiece: "Black Narcissus"(101
min.) plus a cartoon and coming attractions. It was a controversial
story (for 1947, that is!) of English missionary nuns confronted with
the age-old struggle between the spirit and the flesh in the remote
Himalayas! (We've been screening movies that are based upon
the "Seven Deadly Sins" and we've finally gotten around to not
necessarily the most deadly--that would be pride, so they say--but to
certainly the most popular: lust!) "Black Narcissus" stars Deborah
Kerr, David Farrar, Jeanne Simmons, Sabu (!), and an unforgettable
Kathleen Byron. The Stephen Crane House is at 508 4th Avenue in
Asbury. There is limited seating, so reservations are required. Call

accepted and that includes refreshments!
