Branson, Missouri -- a place that bills itself as the live
entertainment capital of the world just had some news...

"The full-service Branson vacation company is celebrating a major
milestone--a staggering one million theater and attraction tickets
sold in just four years--and the customer who purchased the millionth
ticket won a refund of their entire vacation arranged through Branson
Tourism Center."

That's 1 million theater and attraction tickets in 4 years in Missouri.

Do you think those kind of tourism numbers would be possible in
Asbury Park with:
1) Close proximity to New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC and
Boston
2) a beach town with a new boardwalk
3) a town with a musical history known across the world
4) a town with mass transit leading directly to the town from NYC
5) world famous clubs like the Stone Pony plus convention hall and
the paramount

Tying tourism to Asbury Park would be so easy... the difficult
thing is keeping them away.
