Just a reminder that "Twisted Covers" will be spotlighting Bruce
Springsteen today at 6pm at the Twisted Tree Cafe. The show is free.
(ASBURY PARK, NJ) -- Twisted Covers, a show produced by
UpstageRadio.com and the Twisted Tree Cafe, returns on Sunday,
September 16th with a special spotlight on Bruce Springsteen. Over a
dozen Jersey based artists will cover songs from over ten different
Springsteen albums.
Twisted Covers takes place at the Twisted Tree Cafe (609 Cookman
Avenue) in Asbury Park, New Jersey. The starts at 6pm and runs until
9pm. The show is free to the public. People are encouraged to come
early as seating is limited.
Artists scheduled to perform include Jon Caspi, Janey Todd, Maybe
Pete, Keith Monacchio, Arlan Feiles, Hesh, DC Fisher, Michael Brett,
George Wirth, Mike June, Pat Roddy, Joe Harvard, Catherine Wacha, Joe
Rapolla, and Cook. Danny White, a long-time performer at Light of Day
shows, will be the featured artist of the night.
The show will kick off a week long salute to one of New Jersey's
greatest performers on http://www.UpstageRadio.com . Each day during
the Jersey Shore Lunch Hour, which broadcasts at noon, the online
station will feature three songs from three different releases -
culminating on Sunday when the station will once again be
broadcasting at least five hours of Bruce Springsteen songs and
covers of Springsteen songs by over 50 artists starting at noon.
Previous Twisted Covers shows include spotlights on Bob Dylan and The
Rolling Stones. Future shows include spotlights on Tom Waits, The
Beatles (solo works), and a special night where locals will cover
songs from other local artists.
"Basically, Twisted Covers is just a fun night for the local music
community," said Gary Wien of UpstageRadio.com . "It's a night where
artists and music fans can just hang out and listen to great songs
done by their favorite local artists."
UpstageRadio.com is an online radio station run by Upstage Magazine.
The station largely plays independent music from musicians across the
world. The station won an Asbury Music Award last year for Top
Internet Radio Station.
