Where you are, there are quite a few other varieties like the one you
describe. If you go out to some woods where there are either springs
or year round streams you will see them. I am not exactly sure which
one you have, but these won't produce edible shoots. They are usually
tiny

I have been able to get some Dhekia saplings from Indira Baideo. The plant
has taken root in my backyard. The leaves are however more lighter green
then the dhekia I am used to, and the fronds are pretty thin and open up
