I think you are missing the point. Whites with slippers were not a problem
at the hotel. They only had a problem with their own countrymen.
It goes without saying that Indians are one of the most racist people in the
world and we haven't got over the subservient attitudes to the fair skin.
in USA you may not be allowed inside a restaurant if you wear the American
cowboy outfit -- jeans and cowboy boots -- you have to wear the uniform /dress
code.
