The ISPF advise was it. After researching I found the ISPF variable ZSCREENI
which contains the logical terminal content. This makes it much easier. Haven't
hoped there is an easy way like that...

what you need is "READ BUFFER" CCW X'02' - details should be in 3270
manuals.
There should be ways to do that in an ISPF environment as well.
