I might instead say that there is one and only one standard linkage and that it applies only when neither ARs nor 64-bit GRs (whether AMODE 64 or not) are involved. And we all know how that 72-byte savearea is mapped. Once you get beyond the bounds of that savearea, there is no standard, there are instead choices. Peter Relson z/OS Core Technology Design
