Thanks Thomas.
Block reporting will be tested around midnight for us.
I can confirm that with auto logging, wrapping is now on for me, BUT
it's showing too many lines and the last 3-4 aren't on screen. I need
to scroll down to see them, but the refresh is quick enough that the
scroll is reset.

Appreciated. FYI - I haven't changed our perl version, but going from
5.04 to 5.05/6 broke it...

Thanks for the hint. It is interesting to know this anyway.

On the oposite, I'm not an expert in RFCs but I think the closest it
comes to RFC, the best.
In my tests, when I use denySMTPConnectionsFromAlways, I thought I
should have an immediate return from my external server with the

I know (from Fritz) - how ever, I never had that problem - it seems that
different Perl version are doing different regex quoting. But I know how
to fix it - in one or two hours -> 5.07!

I have (and have had) a BlockReportFile with a sinlge line like this:

It has worked until upgrading to 0.5.05 (which says 06)
Now I got a report last night that says:

Definitely not possible.

There is an URL in the URL-line, if you press F5 this URL will be called
and submittet to the host. All fields are part of a form, this form will
be submitted to the host with the submit-button and this request wil

That fixes the problem with the Wrap lines options. However, the log
does not update. It will also be somewhat of a drag having to scroll to
the top of the page just to refresh it instead o

See... the "problem" seems to be due to the fact that RFCs only
allow to drop the connection after a 4xx (at least apparently; since

I am testing (denySMTPConnectionsFromAlways) and noticed that
apparently it does not send a 5xx error message.
In cases where this is a false positive, the unfortunate senders will
never know their mail did not reach the final destination.

Right Fritz, but what Scott's talking about (and I'm liking) is the
possibility of using a grep call from within ASSP to make local loging
and display via that ASSP interface faster and more efficient.
Certainly worth at least exploring.
You can grep a file backwards, indirectly. There's a coupl

It does as long as you don't go too small (less than 1024x768 perhaps?).
If I click "no" on the "Wrap Lines:" option, it unwraps. If I then
click the refresh button, it wraps again despite the "Wrap Lines:"
option still saying "no". If I click "no" it u

This is now forced to "yes" despite choosing not to wrap in "Server

I don't like to see the lines wrapped.

I will take a look when I get a chance. All three of your criteria
below are things I use grep/tail/tr/awk and others for on a daily
basis, with little trouble.
I will outline some steps I use to manage log files, starting with the
grepping backwards. Let me look over the log reading code
