the '?' is normal if you use the terminal (cmd.exe) - because this is the
substitute for the nonASCII UTF-16 characters generated by Win32::Unicode
(btw. you should enable it again to get UTF-8 outputs in the debug file).
I use the 'Total Commander' to manage the files in the corpus (if needed).
That file does not exist in the corpus -- it looks like a failed
variable substitution or something. Here is the following files from the
folder:

Where is this file comming from ?

Notice the uppercase '.EML' - which is never caused by assp also the '~'
tilde is not normal!
delete this file
restart the rebuild
If it dies - look in to this debug file - the last accessed file is sho
