Betreff: [Assp-user] MYSQL Problem
Hello,

Hello,
in our ASSP Installation we have the following problem:
After a restart of MYSQL the ASSP doesn`t reconnect the Databases
automatically. After the restart of the ASSP, the connection to the MYSQL is up
again.
Please Note: the MYSQL Server isn`t installed on the same host like the ASSP.
Yes, i have.
Some would say RTFM but i will be more explicit.
Once you realize and understand what is a bayesian filter and how it works
then you'll be enlightened and all of your doubts will fade away. Google
can be very helpful in your sysadmin journey.

Hi,
I restart the assp and the Mysql was populate. But i´m getting in the
mailog this two messages:
Bayesian is not available - spamdb is empty
HMM is not available - hmmdb is empty
So i think that ASSP is not testing messages with Bayesian and HMM.
Any ideas??

Hi.
I had ASSP working fine in my personal server with MySQL 5.7, but I had to
switch to MariaDB 10.1 and ASSP stoped working with database!
I have access to the same database (I've tested with local command line
using the same user, password and DB name) and it's working, but ASSP
don't. Also, I'

The problem here is that if one node goes down and thats the node ASSP
happens to connect to ASSP will simply disable the LDAP functions until
it connec
I would also point out that if you use a DNS name and use multiple
records, you get round robin functionality as well.

But ASSP should be changed to exchange files on a secure base for
this?

I was just going to say the same thing...
You can have as many slave ldaps as you want...

You're right- I missed that-
"Enter the DNS-name(s) or IP address(es) of the server(s) that run(s) the
LDAP database. For example: localhost. Separate entries with pipes: eg.

Hi,
I'm using Tie::RDBM on both Windows and Linux mailserver to centralize
delaydb etc.. This works absolutly perfect.
One thing though, if the Mysql server is offline, ASSP Crashes (or kills
it self) immediatly. Is there any way to occur this behaviour ?

I mean "I'm using 1.2.6(47) on two servers sharing a mysql database

No it's not.
I even compiled it myself and it failed miserably.
It's a *nix only module for now it seems.

Yep i
I'm using 1.2.6(47) on two servers sharing a mysql database and I have
see problem.
Crash at start may happen if myuser has no permissions on database
Please, verify your mysql settings, enable verbose logging, reload
assp and see what happens
Anyone else using mysql?

Hello
trying ASSP v1.2.6(46) I found these problems using mysql
- assp continue to write on whitelist file too
- assp crashes (after few seconds or minutes)
If I disable mysql reloading flat files all works fine.

I think that can be done as an external task. Import the logs into a
db of your liking.

Fritz,
I see that you are using mysql for a distributed environment.
Great Idea.
So it would be nice to log to mysql also. With this feature we can offer
to the protected user the possibility to consult log when an email is
not arrived.
Thanks
