How about if the client have spent millions in his Avaya Technology, and have not heard of Asterisk?
My solution is like a voice-sniffer, and does not affect the performance of the PBX at all if it goes down.

I see there is a chinese company making Digium TDM400P and module knock
off's. On the bright side for Digium, imitation is the sincerest
compliment. It looks like the card and modules are theoretically 100% cross
compatible with Digium TDM400P cards and FXO/FXS modules.
