Hi,
Here's a challenge for you:
- A mining company setting up a mine in outback Australia
- 70 rooms for miners accommodation with an IP phone in each
- 25 phones in offices in and around the plant
- need a system that is similar to a calling card system for the miners
- need a standard PBX
Unfortunately we aren't allowed to comment on unreleased products, or
ever whether they exist or not ;-)
To do so would indicate that someone had a 'plan', and that would be ...
bad?

Try Enswitch (Integrics.com). It can do all that.
So can Bicom Systems, PBXware.

Just use the calling card component that comes w/ Trixbox (a2billing).
That way you can issue calling cards to the miners.. And then you can
write a custom script outside of trixbox that puts their balances back to
$50 at the end of every month.

Great! We install PBX systems on a fairly large basis and it will be
nice to just be able to purchase something from Digium of this nature!

Steve,
I am not sure I completly understand your questions. We mostly accept
calls rather than deliver them. We do offer call patch/transfer and
though.
In any case our charges are the same if you send calls to us via SIP
or the toll-free number we issue all customers.
Of course if you are
It doesn't seem to offer anything you can't get elsewhere for much less.

Yes,
Enswitch would work well however the pricing starts at $3000 per quarter
just for the software. The customer isn't going to accept that on a PBX
that would probably only ever do up to 10 concurrent calls.
Enswitch is more a small scale service provider platform than a normal
PBX.
Thanks
