scouring the forums and noticed my 'negative' comment regarding
SPA-525Gs. They explained that there was a very limited batch of phones
that had a defective PoE component. They have offered to replace them.

If you don't want to make any large commitments, try metrostat.net. They're
a small CLEC & charge 2ยข per dip.
Simple http get interface & ACL for fixed IP (only) servers.
I don't know if they're still taking new signups--some bad apples were
abusing the system.
