Hello all,
Getting really confused over what numbers are best for both a business and a
client ?!?!? 0845/0800 numbers used to be the ones; though with 0845 the
providers got a kick back as-well. If you are a new UK business, and with to be
national, is the best approach an 03* type number.
What answer would you give to this guy? He needs help fast. I'll share with
him all the answers that I get from you all between now and 5 PM. He needs
the help by then.
Remember me? I'm the open source audio software developer you met in
Barcelona last year. Tomorrow I'll go to the States (NY)
For what it’s worth I’d say that a good old-fashioned geographic number seems
to generate more trust in people than anything else. What do you want the
business to be? Nameless and shameless or respected and trusted?
Cheers
Andy

In these days where mobiles are used an awful lot and non geo numbers are
charged at a premium (even free 0800!), a geographic number, at least as an
option, is best!

Ha! Good luck with that.
The best thing you could do is to buy a blister pack cellphone from
ATT. They have 2 rates, $2 a day all you can eat text/US calling or
they have a monthly top up plan. I think T-Mobile has a similar plan too.
You must buy the phone as you cannot get the SIM cards
