It's obvious that OpenOffice has forked Her Majesty's English.  I foresee only tender footed pilgrims picking up such an unsupported language and using it in production. It's fine to have different dialects and regional spelling differences, but I don't see why anyone would knock the original English-English.  While "specialising" might not be correct American-English spelling, that doesn't mean it's not correctly spelled. The differences of derivative dialects and sloppy grammar and punctuation is pretty straight forward though. I don't think anyone would usually even really care much about it, until it starts confusing those who are trying interpret variations in English.
