Well first of all having done support for some voip companies i can tell
you most of the business try trixbox and try to ft it in..
next step is the problem they don't have a clue on asterisk and start
changing configs manually and in the web part etc etc.

I don't under stand why Fonality would buy an open source setup.Also Trixbox is just packaging Asterisk, with other items including Freepbx which is an GPL item.And the Freepbx works great for Business and in my view is far better then Fonality which I have used as well and setup.

That is a fairly subjective comment. Depends on your needs. I use it
at 3 of my offices for over a year. If you follow the forums at
trixbox.org, you will see quite a few people use it in a business
environment.
