ok tested on a non-production machine and we were unable to reproduce the problem. so we upgraded the machine and havent experienced the same problem yet. no dns names were used in the configs. on a slightly related note we are still having problems with getting ringing tones sent to the phones when they dial out. the setup is SIP hardphones to a local asterisk server. this server is connected via IAX2 to our asterisk servers which are hooked up to the PSTN via zaptel cards (E410P's) when dialing if we dont use the |r function on the dial strings we hear no ringing sounds. using ztmonitor its possible to see the ringing occuring as audio on the asterisk server connected to the PSTN, but this doesnt seem to be sent back to the asterisk server that the sip phones are connected to. generating the fake ringing tones isnt very good, as it leads to lots of user interface problems (people thinking the other end is ringing, when actually its busy etc...) both machines are using this weekends cvs any ideas how we can solve this? duncan _______________________________________________ Asterisk-Dev mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-dev To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-dev
