Hi,
I would like to know what kind of tests should I make in order to
document tone/configuration settings for analog cards and E1 cards
specifically for my country (Panama).
For example: Australia, Venezuela, etc, they have been documented and
included in the zaptel config.
Thanks,

My mistake.
Adding the "\" character using ascii codes in a badly configured
console+keyboard, led to the insertion of a "dot" and that was the
unprintable char.
Note to console users (CENTOS?) vi and nano did not showed the char, I
then used MC (midnightcommander) and it showed the "dot".

Hi,
Don't know if it helps, but in AU you can tell the telco to place all calls
on 2 ISDN's at the same time.
That way you could have 2 ISDN lines on 2 ISDN cards (or Spans) and all
calls would be presented on both ISDN services.
That way each asterisk server can decide what call it takes.

The TDM400P will never have an echo canceller module, there is no way to add
one to the board without a redesign.
The newer board(s) will likely have Octasic module opti
Hi folks,
I've been having a go at getting DUNDI working this evening to enable
users to register to any Asterisk box and to look them up from another.
The DUNDI part works just great (very impressed), as does the subsequent
joining of calls between the two servers but I'm struggling with

Stephen,
I would check with your polycom reseller. They should have the files
you are looking for and you know they will be at least from a
creditable source. In terms of setting up your phones for ftp
provisioning, you will need to edit the files that you obtain from the
reseller, and edit t
Hi,
While compiling zaptel 1.2.7 I get the error:
zaptel.c:384 error: stray '\194' in program
It looks like an unprintable character, this source is straight from
the .tar.gz release.
Since im compiling in a Centos 4.3 Xeon, the only thing I added was:

If you turn verbose on under the remote console for asterisk does it
show any information that phones are trying to register or anything for

are communicating with the server if you aren't seeing anything on

Matt, What do you mean the 1.2 svn branch?
Where are the download instructions and installation procedure?
I always download tar.gz (that means the official release) but i
always question what do I do to keep my installation with the latest
bug fixes.

Hmm - I have had 2 bad PRI installs out of about 20, and both times it

But getting them to fix it can be a real struggle!

If it was a .tar.gz download then you will need to reinstall. I would
