In order to install MySQL support for asterisk 1.4, you'll need to download
the asterisk-addons-1.4 tarball, extract it to it's own folder. Go to that
folder, run ./configure, make menuselect, and select the cdr_addon_mysql
and the res_config_mysql options. Exit make menuselect, then run make,

I would try
./configure -with-mysql=/usr/bin

I'm not the resource you want for this one as I don't use mysql or any
databases with my asterisk (prefer to keep things as simple as possible).

If you are using a 1.X (1.4, 1.6 or 1.8) version you probably need to either
use saynumber() to playback the number before dialing or use message() to
send an IM to the phone since that architecture "only knows" 9 as the number
you dialed. I think 10.0 will "refresh" the number when Dial is execut

It should at least be on the menu although the selection may have XXX

Yes. That's exactly what 802.1q is. Technically 802.1q allows the network
devices to tag each Ethernet frame with a VLAN ID. This way if you have 3
vlans, they can all be "trunked" over 1 Ethernet port by means of tagging the
VLAN ID.

The addons are not part of the source in 1.4 or 1.6
You need to install the addons separately.
If you installed asterisk from a package maintainer (e.g yum, apt) then
check for asterisk 1.4 addons packages.
Otherwise download, compile and install the addons from source. They can

Hi All;
I need to use a gateway that converts from SIM to E1 to I can send and receive
calls via the GSM, so did any one use a good gateway for this and reliable and
stable and costly effective, so he can advise us to use it?
Also, it will be a separate product if we need also to use it for SMS

I don't know if you miss-typed or not. But, 802.1q is VLAN. If it was
typed incorrectly, then yes. I just recently setup a Linux DHCP to
handle multiple networks with VLAN 802.1q trunking.

Hello List,
I'm a little bit confused as I read about IEEE 801.2.q
So, my actual question is: Does a switch stating to support IEEE 801.2q
also supports VLAN trunking?
As I understand the standard, I suppose it does, but I'm not sure.
Can someone clarify this for me, please?
Thank you vermy much
